Prayer

Prayer is an important part of every Christian's armoury; it is for every situation – in joy, in sorrow, in the routine and mundane and in the crisis experience. We are encouraged to come with our requests and with our thanks.

We have a heavenly Father who loves and blesses us with his gifts, but how easily we forget – especially when things are going well. Then he nudges us – perhaps we have a problem – and he reminds us to "come". Prayer is the foundation of all that we do, both personally and collectively, and how we live our lives.

:: Prayer for the Week

As part of the Prayer Initiative at All Saints we offer a weekly prayer mailout. This consists of one short email per week, usually mailed on Wednesday morning, and your contact details will not be used for any other purpose. If you would like to receive our regular Prayer for the Week then send an email to prayer@glossopparishchurch.co.uk and put 'send prayer' in the subject line.

:: Circle of Prayer

Circle of Prayer is a group of online caring, praying Christians and is part of the prayer outreach ministry of Glossop Parish Church. If you have a specific need for prayer, either personally or for others, and would like others to pray also, then please feel free to forward the details for inclusion in our Circle of Prayer. You can be as specific or as vague as you wish in your request as all information is held strictly confidential among the Circle.

Email prayer@glossopparishchurch.co.uk. When we can't be there, we can help through prayer.

:: Time for Prayer

Each Wednesday morning at 9.30 the Midweek Eucharist is just beginning at All Saints. We know that not everyone is available to attend this service but as we go about the daily business of our hectic lives, it is worth just taking a minute or two to remember each other at this time each week as we pray for the work and witness of our church.

Be still, and know that I am God

May my meditation be pleasing to him as I rejoice in the Lord
